If you’ve been following the launch of our new brand, there’s a good chance you know the sweet face of our DogStar Roasters spokesdog, Royalty. What you may not know is that Royalty, despite her good looks and perfect poses, is not a trained dog model. She is one of the millions of dogs living in shelters waiting to be adopted.
At DogStar we source and sell freshly roasted, distinctive coffee because we are coffee lovers ourselves, but also to achieve our ultimate purpose, helping support rescue organizations in the work they do to find dogs in need safe and loving homes. Given that mission, it felt only right to find a pup currently waiting for their forever family to be the furry face of our brand. Our friends at APA Adoption Center were gracious enough to help. At the APA since December of 2024, the team at the center was confident Royalty was the perfect dog for the task.
We knew photoshoot day would be a rare day out of the adoption center for Royalty, so we wanted to make sure she felt comfortable, was spoiled, and had lots of fun. At first, she was shy, carefully exploring the large photo studio and slowly greeting each new face, but it didn’t take long for her to come out of her shell. She quickly became more relaxed, playing with her new toys and happily accepting cuddles and treats.
Royalty was the perfect dog model, easily following direction and charming everyone she met with her sweet and calm, but playful personality.
We are beyond grateful to APA Adoption center for introducing us to Royalty and for the amazing work they do connecting people and pets as well as offering education and wellness services, and many other amazing programs to benefit the community. Not only was the photo shoot a success, but we were able to meet an amazing pup that would make a wonderful addition to a loving family.

Royalty is a 6 year old spayed female, weighs 58lbs, and has a brindle brown and white coat. She is a sweet, gentle dog with a playful side ready to find a new family to love! She walks well on leash, loves affection from her humans, and has done well making friends with other polite, calm dogs.
