Lovie’s former owners—breeders—became terminally ill, leaving her alone, pregnant, and terrified. With her due date approaching, the Workdog Rescue team rushed to help. By the time they arrived, Lovie had already delivered two puppies from her hiding spot under a truck. The team acted fast to get her safely into the car and back to the rescue.
After arriving safely at Workdog Rescue & Rehabilitation, Lovie delivered the rest of her litter. Tragically, all the male pups were born with a congenital defect, but the four surviving girls proved to be fighters—just like their mama.
Bred, abandoned, and scared, Lovie has overcome so much. Now, at 1.5 years old, this beautiful Belgian Malinois is ready to find her happily ever after. She’s affectionate, loyal, and eager to bond deeply. She’s outgrown the chaos of puppyhood but still has playful energy and a sharp, eager-to-learn mind.
Like many Malinois, Lovie thrives with someone who understands her intelligence, drive, and devotion. She’ll shine in a home that can offer structure, activity, and lots of love—whether it’s long walks, training, playtime, or simply being close to her people. Lovie blossoms when she feels connected.
If you’re looking for a smart, loving, and resilient companion who’s ready to give her whole heart, Lovie is waiting to meet you!
