The Story of DogStar Roasters
A mission of love.
For more than 30 years, my family and I have traveled and lived in communities across the country. In every place we’ve called home, we’ve sought out local rescues to support — not just with financial donations, but by securing large donations of dog food, walking and playing with shelter dogs, and fostering pups in need. Helping these organizations give dogs a second chance has always been my passion.
DogStar Roasters was born from a desire to make that passion sustainable. I’ve always loved exceptional coffee — the kind that’s roasted with care and full of flavor — just as much as I love dogs. One day, it clicked: what if every bag of coffee could help fund the rescues working so hard to save lives? That’s when DogStar became more than an idea — it became our mission.
Today, we donate 20% of our net profits to rescue organizations across the country, with a goal to one day donate 100%. But our mission doesn’t stop there. The profits we generate also fund marketing campaigns that spotlight specific rescues and dogs in need — at no cost to the rescue organizations. These campaigns help bring attention, resources, and potential adopters to the animals who need them most. By partnering with rescues, we can combine financial support with increased awareness, making an even bigger difference.
